What is this course about:
In this course I’ll show you how to simplify tasks and get faster results learning basso continuo.
Through unconventional exercises, you’ll create automatisms to quickly find harmonies relying on muscle memory and pattern recognition, rather than on the usual but too slow logical analysis of harmony and theory.
Since the focus is on the method, you'll be able to adapt the material to your own level.
You’ll also learn how to use the information contained in the figures to support your musical interpretation and develop criteria to decide what to leave out, keeping your right-hand playing simple yet musically meaningful.

Who is this course for:
Musicians interested in historical performance practice who know the benefits of basso continuo but struggle to learn it.
Singers or melodic instrument players looking to enhance their learning or accompany their students with basic BC realization skills.
Keyboard players who want to achieve faster, more effective results when learning or teaching figured bass.
Requirements: Basic bass clef reading and the ability to play simple basslines with the left hand.

I am a harpsichordist and a passionate teacher!
I’m fascinated by neuroscience, especially in the context of learning, and I love unconventional learning methods that spark creativity and enhance effectiveness.
I learned basso continuo myself a long time ago, and I still remember exactly how: with tricks!
Working with a wide variety of students who are eager to play rather than just earn theory degrees has helped me develop my own BC teaching techniques, focused on practical and expressive performance.
